ITunes will be replaced by separate applications in the next Mac OS (along the lines of the current iOS apps). It has been reported in a couple of places that Apple are likely to discontinue purchases of music (films were not mentioned) in favour of streaming (i.e. Apple Music): however a source did say that existing purchases would continue to. Apple replaced iTunes with Apple Music in Catalina, and I very much doubt that downloading iTunes now for Big Sur will work at all, even with Rosetta2 emulation. More Less Dec 5, 2020 9:54 AM. With macOS Catalina, your iTunes media library is now available in the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, Apple Books app, and Apple Podcasts app. And Finder is where you can manage and sync content on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
No Itunes On Mac 2020
I have the same problem. I installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store a few months ago and never had problems before. I'm using Windows 10 1909. After not being able to listen to music today, I tried repairing it, resetting the app, and completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, but nothing worked. I'm not sure if it has something to do with that, but yesterday evening (Central European Time) an update for iTunes was released (at least for the Windows Store version). However, I can't confirm that it has something to do with our issue - I only listened to music again today, so it may be completely unrelated (or not).
I'm also surprised that almost no one seems to report this problem. Are we the only ones having it?
